  One day we had our daughter's temperature went above 39 and we went to the clinic to have a throat swab taken as was advised by specialists from the Children Hospital. They said antibiotics are not required in our case. The clinic's GP said that he is not going to just take a swab since there is a procedure which advises antibiotics have to be prescribed. He asked whether we saw ENT specialist. I said no and tried to explain him our situation - that we don't need antibiotics. It seemed he didn't want to spend time with us and listen. He didn't look at our daughter's throat. Basically after around two minutes of "conversation" he said if we don't like the way he works, we can go to another doctor. We walked out from his room and went to the clinic's reception to ask for another GP. Soon after the GP came from his room and asked the receptionists not to make appointments for our daughter in the clinic. We had to go. Really bad attitude. All we wanted is to have a throat swab taken by a GP.

  Don't use these doctors if you can avoid it. It's an inpersonal factory. Went to get a referral to a specialist. Doc was one of the worst I have ever seen. I won't name him directly but care factor was near nil, bordered on rude and was condescending without any real care. Calendar on his screen looked jam packed. I specifically asked if he needed to include the name of specific referror doctor at Gosford private. He insisted no and sent on my way as quickly as possible. Provided it without. Gosford private then confirmed yes after I then tried to make an appointment there based on referral. Receptionist at reliance was superb however and arranged for it to be fixed. Will never see him again and I think that a bit more focus on the patient, a bit more training on procedures and 'bed side manner' might go a long way.
