Reviews about PETstock

  • Excellent pet store. Staff extremely helpful & knowledgeable. Great trainers for puppy school. My dog Jasper loves coming here always gets a friendly cuddle from the staff. Great selection of pet food ranging from super premium to supermarket.Pet toys, treats basically everything a pet may need. It's a bit pricey however it's good quality.

I have been a member of Pet Stock since the day I got my puppy. I am absolutely gutted at the way they’ve treated my poor doggy this week at West Gosford and feel writing a review to warn others to beware of some of their methods is the only way to keep your animals happy and safe. My puppy, a little chihuahua x weighing under 5 kilos was operated on a few days ago, she was kept overnight, everything seemed to be fine, my son and I picked her up on the following afternoon, she seemed well, and the operation was clearly a success, I paid the bill, over $2000. We got home at 7pm, it took 2 hours for the nearly $50 bandage to come off my dog’s leg, my son was concerned so he wrapped it with a normal bandage and tape until the following morning. Funnily enough, his bandage lasted until we got back there. We were told to come back in with the dog, I was a tad upset, I have so many ill people I’m also looking after and I certainly don’t live around the corner, I’m a 30 minute drive away. We got there, and we were ushered to a room, and the vet took her and replaced her bandage. All good. No? Why? Because they wanted a $30 rebandaging fee and I was so upset I refused and the lady said she’d go speak to the manager, they ended up waivering the fee, but then I showed them the brown bottle of pain killers they’d given me the day before, I told them I explained to the secretary that I’d rather have the bottle you can turn upside down as it would be easier for me as my eyesight is not the best, and I’d spilt half of it trying to get the cheap lid back on. We went out to the receptionist, she wanted to charge me nearly $50 for another bottle of pain meds, the ones I’d asked for in the first place, I also complained out there, they said well you have nearly $40 in points so we’ll take all of them off you and you can pay $7.70. I was mad but my baby needed pain meds so I paid it AND lost all of my points. I was upset as I’d planned to get her some special bones and a toy, something for Christmas with my points. Now yesterday the bandage fell off again, even though the dog has a cone on her head, and I rang them and they weren’t concerned in the slightest. They said well she’ll be fine without it, just leave the cone on. This morning I thought she was extra quiet, I turn in my chair and she’s actually gnawing at her leg, the cone is not big enough to stop her from actually reaching her leg, and having a munch on where she’s just had surgery, I’ve given up on ringing them and running over there, this is ridiculous and beyond negligence of my animal and also me as a client, well soon to be former client, so we’ve rebandaged it ourselves so she doesn’t harm the leg and when all the stuff that goes with this surgery is over, I WILL be looking for a new vet, one that actually does care about the pets and the clients and not the monetary value. I just hope this doesn’t affect my puppy’s leg in the future. I’ve had the worst service with them and I’m over it. Please be aware that ANYTHING they do wrong YOU will be paying for. Bull#@#$
